On November 12th, 2021, I dropped two Xeniths off at the Post Office destined for Australia. Historically, this takes about 2 weeks. Four weeks went by with no updates to the tracking. I communicated with the customers and agreed it would be best to just make them new ones. With the new ones made, I shipped them with a different courier service and they arrived safely 2 weeks later. In early January I received an update that the missing Xenith’s had made it to the Port of Las Angeles, a mere 400 miles into their 7,400-mile journey. I was unable to stop the shipment so off they went to Australia.
Due to import fees and return shipping costs, I opted to risk it and have my customers ‘reject’ the delivery causing the Xeniths to be returned to sender (me). From that point, there had been no updates on the tracking and after a few months with no updates I eventually gave up hope.
This week the postman left a box on my front porch. It was a Xenith shipping box that looked every bit like it had traveled around the world. The label said the sender was “Australia” which could only mean one thing, it was one of the missing Xeniths! While excited it had been delivered I had low expectations of what the condition of the Xenith was going to be. To my surprise and delight, it was in pristine condition and played great right out of the box. To make things even better, the second Xenith was delivered the following day, its box was in even worse condition but it too was in perfect condition.
