Xenith8 Scales Discussed

Last week I introduced the Xenith8. One of the advantages of the Xenith8 is that it enabled me to expand the scales that I can offer. No longer limited just to scales in D, the Xenith8 ranges from C# to F# and supports some of the greatest handpan scales of all time.

One challenge that comes with an expanded scale list is it makes choosing a scale that much harder! Analysis paralysis around choosing your handpan scale is real and can leave one’s head spinning—trust me, I’ve been there.

With that in mind, I created the video below where I talk through the scales on offer; what I like about them, why they made the list, their strengths and virtues. I did the same thing for the Xenith7 because sometimes you need a guide to get you through the murky waters of scale choice!
