Playing For Change Video
In September, Ehssan Karimi, a handpan player that I’ve been in touch with for years via social media contacted me. He notified me that he was going to have the opportunity to participate in a Playing For Change video, as a handpan player, but that he didn’t have the right scale for the project. Specifically, he needed something in C major and wanted to know if I knew anyone in LA that had something like that.
I sent him a Xenith D Celtic, D/ A C D E F G A. While it is in D minor, you do have a good amount of C major, C D E F G A. Enough to play simple children’s songs (Twinkle Twinkle, Jingle Bells, etc). Adding to that, I also sent him a Xenith Clarity C Mixo that I made just for the video—C/ G A C D E F G. Between the two he had more than enough to work on.
Coincidently the director fell in love the with Xenith Clarity and purchased it from me.
